Private accident insurance for children provides additional financial protection for children and young people following accidents during leisure time. This is because statutory accident insurance only applies from the start of school or the compulsory kindergarten year and only covers accidents during kindergarten, school or on the way to school.

Child accident insurance can be taken out from birth. If you as parents already have private accident insurance with Allianz, newborns are covered free of charge for 12 months.

Why do I need private accident insurance for my child?

Kindergarten children, school pupils and students are only covered by statutory accident insurance on their direct way to and from their place of education and for the time they spend there. Consequential damages resulting from leisure and sports accidents are not covered. You can close these gaps in insurance cover with private accident insurance.
