What is disability insurance?
Disability insurance, also known as physical disability cover, provides protection against the financial consequences of losing basic physical or mental abilities such as walking, grasping, seeing, hearing or speaking. The payment of an agreed monthly benefit can help to offset loss of income, pay for carers or cover the cost of medical treatment.
