Our accident insurance for dogs comes into play if your dog has to go to the vet due to an accident. 80% of vet and surgery costs are covered up to the agreed single event limit.

Accident and health insurance

With our combination package, you can insure your dog against accidents and illnesses. Here, too, 80% of the veterinary and surgical costs are covered up to the agreed individual event limit.

When is pet insurance a good idea?

Pets can also fall ill or have an accident, which can result in unexpectedly high vet bills. Pet insurance covers these costs and offers the best protection for your four-legged friend.

What isn't covered by pet insurance?

The following, for example, are not covered by pet insurance:
Vaccinations
Food
Dietary supplements
Pest control
Treatment not related to illness or accident (e.g. voluntary preventive care)
Dental restoration
Neutering, including chemical neutering

The cost of pet insurance ranges from €150 to €709 per year*, depending on the type of pet, its age and the level of cover chosen.

Case study: Dog accident insurance

Four-year-old Bruno is playing with his little dog. Suddenly, "Joy" swallows the bouncing rubber ball. The operation is expected to cost almost €1,000. Thanks to the dog accident insurance, which costs €274 a year*, 80% of the costs incurred were reimbursed.

Case study: Dog liability insurance

Two-year-old Charly runs across the road towards her friend; a driver travelling at 80 km/h loses control of his car, damages five parked vehicles and crashes into an upmarket shop window. You are held liable for damages amounting to EUR 200,000. With the optional dog liability insurance, Charly’s owner is well protected; the costs incurred are covered by the additional dog liability insurance policy costing EUR 36 per year*.
* The premium amount is based on the animal’s age at the start of the policy and the level of cover required, and is subsequently adjusted only in line with changes in the Consumer Price Index.
