What is accident assistance?
Accident assistance provides immediate support following an accident and takes care of household matters, childcare and much more. This allows you to focus entirely on your recovery.

Psychological support
Arrangement of an initial assessment by a clinical psychologist, conducted over the telephone in up to five sessions. If the situation requires further treatment, the psychologist will refer the beneficiary to face-to-face consultations with a psychologist near their home or place of work.
Psychological conditions that have already been diagnosed or identified in the past, or that were being treated on the date the contract came into force, as well as psychological conditions not caused by an accident, are excluded.
Costs of a second medical opinion
At the insured person’s request, we will cover the costs of a second medical opinion or a recommendation for alternative treatment. This benefit is provided once per incident.
Support services for daily living
Coping with everyday life after an accident can be a real challenge. Imagine you have a plaster cast on your foot and can’t pick your child up from school.
Who will take care of the household then? Our partner will organise various support services to make your daily life easier, and we will cover the costs. This means you can focus on your recovery.
Help with household chores
Catering service
Arrangement and coverage of the costs for meal delivery services (‘Meals on Wheels’) if, for example, you are unable to cook because you have a plaster cast on your hand.
Food delivery
Arrangement and payment of food deliveries if you are unable to do the necessary shopping.
Childcare
Arrangement and coverage of the costs for a childminder to visit the insured person’s home to look after their child(ren), prepare meals and provide daily care. Each childminding session lasts at least two (2) hours and can be booked from Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays, between 8:00 and 19:00.
Transport service for children
If no family member is able to take the insured person’s child(ren) to school or to their extracurricular activities, we will arrange and pay for transport by taxi from home.

Organisation and coordination of the following services should the insured person remain permanently disabled:
Contacting and visiting a care home
Arranging visits to a care home should you be unable to look after yourself following an accident, including covering transport costs, e.g. to the viewing appointments.
We cannot guarantee that a place will be available. However, our partner will do their best to assist through their contacts and networks.
General medical information and training plan
Specialists answer questions regarding prescriptions or treatment recommendations from the attending doctor. The insured person may also obtain information on sports health, healthcare facilities, general health topics, risk factors, general medical issues, substance abuse problems, preventive care, alternative medicine, pain management centres, and counselling designed to alleviate or improve any disability resulting from an accident.
Reimbursement for cancelled sports activities
Costs of sports physiotherapy
Coverage of the costs of rehabilitation training or sports therapy provided by a physiotherapist or a therapist specialising in this field. We can recommend suitable specialists on request.
Costs of medical transport
Coverage of transport costs to and from the insured person’s home for medical appointments (e.g. physiotherapy, doctor’s appointments, etc.).
