(MTPL) Mandatory insurance is required by law. It covers damage caused to other people by your vehicle or the defense against unjustified claims for damages against you as the vehicle owner.

The sum insured (a choice of €7.79 million, €15 million or €30 million) covers personal injury, property damage and financial loss.

Includes immediate assistance (e.g. towing to nearest repair shop, mobility service) in case of an accident and/or vehicle malfunction.

If stipulated in the insurance policy:

You and your passengers will receive the benefit without complications should an accident result in permanent disability (EUR 100,000) or death (EUR 20,000) – without lengthy negotiations regarding liability.

Covers damage destruction or loss of vehicle due to e.g. wind, hail, landslide, flood, earthquake.

Covers damage destruction of loss of vehicle as a consequence of fire, explosion or implosion.

Covers damage coused by collision with an animal or caused by an animal bite.

Includes extended immediate assistance scope (e.g. car rental, hotel accommodation, return home) in case of an accident and/or vehicle malfunction.

Covers driver and passengers in case of death and/or permanent disability caused by a car accident.

Covers theft of entire vehicle, vehicle components, belongings inside the vehicle and damage/destruction caused by break-in and/or unauthorized use of the vehicle.

Covers damage resulting from vandalism i.e. destroying or damaging of insured vehicle by known or unknown person.

Covers damage, destruction or loss caused by wilful and malicious acts by third parties and collisions caused by unknown vehicles to the parked vehicle.

Damage to your vehicle, even in accidents caused by yourself

Only for electric vehicles:

• Covers damage to your charging accessories (charging cables, wallboxes, adapters) in the event of accidental damage.
• Covers damage to your battery in the event of accidental damage.

The following applies to leased vehicles, regardless of their initial registration: If your leased vehicle is a total loss, you will receive the cancellation value from the leasing contract. This will only be used as the basis for our compensation payment if it exceeds the replacement value at the time of the insured event. The following applies to other vehicles if they were first registered less than six months ago when the insurance was taken out: If your vehicle is totalled or stolen within the first 24 months of first registration, you will receive 100% of the purchase price you paid for the vehicle. Proof of the purchase price is provided by the purchase invoice. You should therefore keep this in a safe place.
